Application Instructions for Optimal Results:

For Burns & Wounds 

1. Burn Prep: Immediately submerge the burn in ice water for at least 20 minutes.
2. Wound Prep: Stop the bleeding and clean the wound by removing debris and disinfecting. (Note: though Heal360 is not an antiseptic, it does effectively prevent growth of harmful bacteria.)
3. Application: Apply a 1/8in. (3mm) thick layer to burn/wound and cover with a bandage or gauze. For 2nd- or 3rd-degree burns, or for serious injuries, apply a layer of burdock leaves before the gauze. See details here: Burdock Leaves.
4. Maintenance: Change the dressing every 12 hours. Note, 2nd- and 3rd-degree burns require special care to heal properly and avoid infection and hypergranulation. DO NOT, under any circumstances, attempt to treat them without proper training. Please contact us for more information or training.

For Embedded particles (splinter removal)

1. Prep: Using a sterile needle or other sharp object, make an opening in the skin deep enough to touch the splinter. This will provide direct contact with the ointment and will open a path for the splinter to come out.
2. Application: Apply ointment at least 1/8in. (3mm) thick and cover with bandage. New ointment may be re-applied after 12 hrs for best results.
3. Extraction: After 24 hrs. from first application, squeeze area around particle to push it out. (You may need to use a needle or other sharp object to help it come out.) If it is not easy to extract, apply new ointment and re-attempt extraction a day later. Speed of extraction depends on the size of the particle and the depth at which it is lodged. Note, Burdock Leaves greatly increase extracting power. For hard-to-extract particles, apply them over the ointment as you would to a burn or wound.

For Cystic Acne Spot Treatment

1. Application & Extraction: Apply ointment at least 1/8in. (3mm) thick on cystic acne (pustules or pimples) and cover with a bandage. After 8–12 hrs, the infection (puss) should be just the surface of the skin and ready to extract (squeeze out). If not, continue to apply new ointment and check every 8–12 hrs. until the infection is just below the surface, then proceed with extraction. Once extracted, apply new ointment and cover with a bandage to heal skin rapidly and to prevent infection.

When not to use Heal360

Heal360 should not be applied to injuries that require a dry healing environment. For sutures (stitches), wait 5 days before using Heal360.
