Pine Tar is the key ingredient that gives this old timey salve its dark brown color and unique odor.

Contains:

Fresh Chickweed herb, Fresh Poke root, Plantain leaf , Chaparral herb, Comfrey root, Marshmallow root, Barberry root, Lobelia herb, Red Clover blossom, Mullein leaf and Rosemary leaf infused in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Beef Tallow, Pine Tar, and Beeswax.

Action:

Drawing or pulling effects.

Suggested Uses:

Old ulcers, tumors, boils, warts, minor infections, and to draw out splinters and dirt from wounds. Always thoroughly clean wound before application. Apply as needed and cover with gauze and tape.

Haven't tried Herbal Black Salve yet

I bought it to replace Nature's Way Black Salve which I use once in a while ... ingredients are similar. Glad I found your product since Nature's Way no longer sells their black salve.

Great drawing salve

Great salve for drawing stuff out that shouldn't be there! Works amazing on splinters, there isn't one yet it couldn't remove. Also, used it where there seemed to be growing infection around an ingrown toenail. After cutting the nail out, put this on it and it seemed to help pull out the swelling/infectious stuff. This salve has a unique strong smell, not bad, but strong and persistent. Highly recommend keeping this around.

Oh also, I looked up "Black Salve" on the internet and it pulls up FDA warnings about black salves that are very disturbing with images of horrible skin damage. This is not at all like those black salves it is talking about. It doesn't have any of the ingredients warned about, and really is just a good traditional herbal drawing salve.
